Tomato peanut chutaney
Tomato
chutaney is favorite and must have side dish for dosas ,idali
,wadas like south indian delicacies. It can be served with puri
,paratha or roti as well. I make vegetables sandwiches also by
using this tomato chutaney as a spread and its super hit in my
house.
Posting
here tomato onion chutaney with tempering ,but it can be made without
tempering as well.

Ingredients:
- Tomatoes 4 big
- Tamarind pulp 1 tb spoon
- Garlic 4 cloves
- Peanuts 1/4 cup
- Red chilies 4
- Oil 1 tea spoon
- Salt as per taste
- Mustard seeds
- Pinch of Asafoetida
- Water 2 cup
Directions
to cook:
- Heat oil and add red chilies , garlic cloves in it.
- Roast peanuts and keep it aside.
- Add tomatoes ,salt and cook till tomato gets translucent for about 8-9 minutes.
- Run tomato chutaney ,tamarind pulp and roasted peanuts in grinder with some water to get fine paste.
- For making tempering heat pan and pour oil in it.
- Add mustard seeds ,pinch of asafoetida in hot oil.
- Pour tomato paste in pan and saute it.
- Add water as per required consistency and mix well together.Cook it for 5-6 minutes and switch off gas.
- Serve tomato chutaney with any favorite main dish.
