Lotus desaru beach resort travel review

Sometime we get tired , exhausted and bored with the monotonous  daily routine ,work and life .This is the time when taking break from daily routine becomes most necessary thing. It not only helps you to rejuvenate and relax but also change of place and traveling brings back the exact kick necessary to start back again.
We decided to take a break and while searching for a perfect holiday location our search landed at lotus desaru beach resort. It is located at johor bahru in malaysia. This resort is part of famous lotus group. Johor bahru is well known for its beautiful beaches and as its nearer to Singapore we decided to visit this lovely resort there.

We  booked Lotus desaru beach resort for 2  nights and 3 days  for two families. The booking included two way transport ,room charges and complimentary breakfast as well. On the travel day The resort van picked us from the Singapore early morning and journey started. It took 4 hours for us to reach resort.

After reaching at resort we got very warm welcome from the staff and could see the hospitality at entrance itself. We were pretty much excited to enter the resort and explore all amenities. The entrance lobby itself is very big specious and comfortable seating arrangements for guests is available. It has duty free shopping and which was something where we ladies eyeing the most. Formalities include collection of refundable deposit and checking visa documents. Make sure you have Malaysia visa before visiting.

 

After completing the formalities we headed towards our new house for next three days. Small buggy bus  came for picking us and dropping into out block. It was fun journey and all the kids started jumping in the train .It was interesting to travel in an open bus  and we all enjoyed the ride to reach our rooms. The resort is spread across huge area  and buildings/blocks  in it were  numbered by alphabets. Lush greenery and well maintained gardens making it more lucrative. Could feel the freshness and aroma of plants.  Parking is available for cars outside resort blocks. And it has well maintained gardens around  it as well. Ambience of the resort was relaxing as its away from hustle bustle of city life.

Siya noticed water park on the way  to our block and she wanted to enter into it right at the moment. Somehow I managed to convince for some time to visit water slides. How kids find their favorite things everywhere is big question.

 

At our block resort people helped us in unloading baggages. After  entering the room we found it very spacious and clean. (Being cleanliness freak I notice it wherever I go ) .Everything was neatly kept. At the ground floor it has living area with sofa ,chairs, small pantry with microwave ,fridge ,mineral water , coffee , sugar ,electronic jug, and mirror. On the top floor very comfortable bedroom with big wash room is there. Wash rooms were clean well equipped with all toilletories. Kids started running around as soon as we stepped in it was new game for them to play hide and seek in the two storey room as they are used to live in apartments.

Our room has the view of gardens and club in the resort .Lovely balcony was the new playground for kids. After settling things we were excited to go on the beach. It was enthralling for us to live by beach side . As we reached resort in the afternoon the complimentary breakfast time was over and thus we had our lunch in the common dining area of the resort. Then we started exploring the place and found number of interesting amenities lined up like.

We started with most favorite place beach and then followed it with water sports on it. It was altogether new experience to try banana boat ride. And then  scariest thing to do on earth for me.. paraceiling ..but believe me I survived the ride and tried to open my eyes for few moments to see how the ground and sea looks from the sky. But it was only for few seconds only.After beach it was swimming time for children and fathers. There are three pools located near the dining area in resort. For children there is separate small pool and beside it small children playground also. With Swimming children wanted to enter the playground as well.

After play time we preferred taking dinner in the room as everyone was tired with the activities for a day. Buffet dinner was available in the dining area and it has variety of sea foods, Dinner is not complimentary and has to be paid for it.

 On the next day morning we started with breakfast at the dining area. It was stalled with  variety of food.Array of different hot dishes  vegetarian , non vegetarian ,fruits , juices ,coffee, tea was available. People were crowding  for it .It was feast for seafood lovers and many people were relishing on it. Being vegetarian I satisfied my hunger  with sandwiches , fruits and coffee only.. Kids enjoyed their breakfast palate with many things.

After breakfast we entered the big water park. It has small river , multiple slides big water splashing coconut and small play ground as well. Children of all ages could enjoy playing in it. Kids loved standing below the big water splashing coconut the most. I liked to slide in the river. Beside it there is small lagoon pool. It was the most crowded part of resort being so fun filled. When you have children with you it becomes important to look for their interest of places before visiting. before finalising this resort I asked resort people 100 times about the children amenities available and  now after vising it actually I am satisfied as kids were happy in water park.

 

We had good time with  many of the recreational activities at resort in the evening times like paid indoor games , spas. And then most of the time we  preferred playing in the sand on beach with children .Walking on the beach on cool sand loved by all.We loved to be there for our vacation and lotus desaru Resort was perfect family place. It was wonderful experience to live  on beach  and purpose of our trip was fulfilled. We enjoyed every bit of it and want to visit this lovely place again.
