How to make rice smoothie as a baby food

Rice is very easy to digest and most widely used food across world. While starting solids to baby /infant mainly rice is started. This rice smoothie is given to infants and it's very nutritious food to start with.
I gave this rice smoothie to both my kids and they liked it. It tastes very yummy and good option when kids are hard on food . Cashew, almond powder can be added in 1/2 spoon quantity in this smoothie to increase its nutritious value .Sugar/ jagery is optional in this smoothie .

  • Rice half cup,
  • Sugar 1/2 tea spoon/ pinch of salt( if want to avoid sweetness),
  • Pinch of Cardamom Powder to sprinkle,
  • Milk +water 2 cup,
  • Ghee 1 teaSpoon
Directions to cook:
  1. Soak rice in cup of water for 2-3 hours .
  2. Grind soaked rice with little quantity of water in grinder to get fine paste.
  3. Heat thick bottom pan add ghee in it.
  4. Add rice paste in it while Stirring .
  5. Add sugar , milk+ water slowly to get required consistency.
  6. Cook rice smoothie for 8-9 min .
  7. When its ready add pinch of cardamom powder .
  8. Rice smoothie is ready to serve.
