Besan Ladoo
How to make besan ladoo (Chickpeas flour ladoo)
I
have grown up in a family where different types of ladoos are made for
children as a snacks. Me and my cousins were hardly ate
biscuits ,cookies, chocolates. My childhood was the time when there
were not much availability of biscuits, cookies, chocolates, ice
creams and deserts as that of today. Cake was only bought
for birthday only once in a year. Today wide variety of sweet
snacks are easily available or widely made at home also .
So
naturally for sugar cravings of children variety of ladoos are
prepared by women at home only.We hardly knew any fancy
sweet snacks as we grew up eating ladoos, shakkar pare, gujiyas
only.
Besa
ladoos are one of my favorite from the ladoo league which my mom and
grandmother made often for us. I make these ladoss for my
children as and when they ask for it.Its protein packed and yummy
snack for them. Its simplest to make and only three ingredient ladoo
(Cardamom is optional).
Only
important top for making this besan ladoo is roasting besan
(chickpeas flour). If its not roasted properly besan will stick while
eating and won't taste good.Dry fruits like cashews and almonds
pieces can be added in besan ladoo for extra rich taste.Enjoy making
this ladoos and relive your childhood memories with your children.
