Cooking time:1 hour
Ingredients :
  • Besan(Gram flour) 5 cups,
  • Chili powder 2 tea spoon,
  • Cumin powder 2 tea spoon,
  • Carom seeds powder 2 tea spoon ,
  • Turmeric powder 1/2 tea spoon,
  • Salt as per taste,
  • Water,
  • Oil for frying.
Directions to cook:

  1. Mix all dry ingredients together in big vessel.
  2. Heat kadhai and add 2 tb Spoon of oil in it.
  3. Switch off gas and pour hot oil in above dry ingredients.
  4. Add water slowly in above mixture.
  5. Make batter of besan flour.It should not be runny as well it should not be very firm.
  6. Apply oil to shev making Press(Mould for making sev) from inside.Add besan batter in it.
  7. Heat kadhai and add around half ltr oil in it for deep frying sev.
  8. Press out few thin strands of sev in hot oil for deep frying.
  9. Fry sev properly and keep aside .Similar way deep fry sev in batches.
  10. Break sev into pieces and store in air tight container.It stays good for many days.
