Panner butter masala is another famous paneer curry and most ordered dish in restaurants. Everyone loves paneer butter masala because of its rich, creamy taste.
Paneer/cottage cheese is cooked in spicy , creamy ,flavorful gravy. Paneer butter masala gravy is made using cashew nuts,butter and tomato ,onion puree. The taste of cashew nuts makes it more rich and slightly sweet. Because of sweetness its most favorite curry of my children as well.
I make paneer butter masala often and with time its turning more delicious.I followed many recipes and came out with my own version of it.Enjoy this creamy delicious curry with roti/paratha/naan or rice.


Cooking Time :60 min
Ingredients:
  • Paneer cubes(Cottage cheese) 1 cups,
  • Tomato chopped 3 big size
  • Onions chopped 2
  • Ginger small piece
  • Garlic cloves 3
  • Cashews 2 tb spoon or 12 -14
  • Butter 4 tb Spoon,
  • Sugar 1/2 tea spoon
  • Chili powder 1/2 tea spoon
  • Coriander powder 1/4 tea spoon
  • Cumin seeds powder 1 tea spoon
  • Cardamoms 2
  • Bay leaf 4
  • Cloves 4
  • Water 2 cup
  • Salt as per taste
Directions to Cook :
  1. Fry Paneer:
  2. Shallow fry /deep fry paneer cubes in oil or butter.
  3. For making gravy:
  4. Fry chopped onions in some oil and Keep it aside.
  5. Add chopped tomatoes in pan and saute it.
  6. After it gets cool grind fried tomatoes ,onions with water to get fine puree.Keep it aside.
  7. Heat kadhai /pan and add butter in it.
  8. Add cumin seeds, pinch of asafoetida in oil.
  9. After cumin crackles add dry spices ,cardamoms ,cloves and bay leaves in it and saute.
  10. Add ginger ,garlic paste in pan and saute.
  11. Add onion and tomato puree in pan. Saute for 2 minutes.
  12. Keep on stirring veggie puree until oil separates from it.
  13. Add cumin powder,sugar,salt,coriander powder in kadhai and saute for a minute.
  14. Add water as per required consistency and cook for 5 minutes .
  15. Add fried paneer cubes in kadhai and cook for another 5 minutes.
  16. Garnish with fresh cream and serve paneer butter masala with roti / paratha / naan or rice.
