How to make potato masala puri
As it's started raining here. Everyone in house wants to eat pakoras (fritters).After  trying zucchini pakora ,onion pakora , cabbage pakora I thought of making something chatpata chat. Eating everyday deep fried fritters is not good and so decided to switch over chat and other snacks.
So i bought ready made puris ( used for making panipuri usually )  and i made this chatpati and quick dish potato masala puri.Its perfect for chat  and chatpata  food cravings .
It need some potato masala made from boiled potato and sev for making this chat.Green chutney and tamrind chutney are optional ,but if used it makes it more tangy ,sweet and tasty.

Cooking time :20 min
  • Boiled potatoes 2
  • Shev /sev 1 cup
  • Onion finely chopped 1/2 cup
  • Coriander leaves finely chopped small bunch
  • Black salt 1 tea spoon
  • Cumin powder 1/2 tea Spoon
  • Chili powder 1/2 tea spoon
  • Sweet tamarind /jagery chutney 2 tb spoon
  • Green chili/mint chutany 2 tb spoon
  • Chat masala 1 tea Spoon
  • Salt as per taste
Directions To Cook:

1. For making green chutney :
Grind green chilies, coriander leaves , mint leaves , salt ,cumin powder with some water together to make green chutney .
2. For making sweet tamrind chutney :
Clean and soak tamrind in water for an hour.
3. Take out pulp from soaked tamrind.
4. Grind tamarind pulp,salt, jaggery ,cumin powder with some water .
5. Boil this mixture on low flame for about 15 to 20 minutes .
6.For making Potato masala :
Boil potatoes and peel out covers.
7. Mash potatoes and add green chutney ,tamrind chutney, salt,chat masala in it and mix well to make potato masala.
8. Assemble puris and fill potato masala in it.
9. Sprinkle chopped onions , chili powder and sev on it.
10. Serve potato masala chat.
