Chili paneer is indo chinese recipe and mostly served as a starter. It can be serves as a special snacks too. It is made using capsicum /bell pepper and cottage cheese mainly. The soya sauce used for making it gives chili paneer that tangy and taste along with spicy capsicums , and crunchy cabbage makes this unique and delicious.

I
often make chili paneer as many vegetables are used in it and my
children eat this without making any fuss. In following recipe I have
used ground vegetables paste for making chili paneer, which is an
extra step and not necessary while making normal chili paneer.
Enjoy making this starter with any extra choice of vegetable.

Ingredients:
- Paneer ( Cottage cheese )cubes 2 cup
- Cabbage 1/2 cup
- Onions 2
- Capsicum (bell pepper) 4
- corn flour 2 tb spoon
- Salt as per taste
- Pepper 5 -6
- Soya sauce 3 tb Spoon
- Chili powder 1/2 tea spoon
- Garlic cloves 6
- Ginger 1 inch piece
- chili sauce 1 tb spoon
- Sugar 1/4 tea spoon
- Oil
- Water
Directions
To Cook:
- Shallow fry paneer cubes with 2 tb spoon of oil in pan.
- Sprinkle salt ,chili powder on fried paneer and keep aside.
- Similar way shallow fry capsicum with 2 tb spoon of oil till it gets tender and keep it aside.
- Run garlic ,ginger , 1 tb spoon of cabbage, 1 tb spoon of capsicum,1 tb spoon of onions and pepper through blender to get fine paste.
- For making gravy :Heat 2 tb spoon of oil in a pan add above veggie paste in it.
- Mix corn flour in half cup of water to get corn flour paste.
- Add corn flour paste ,soya sauce ,chili sauce in pan and saute for 2 minutes.Let this gravy cook for 5 to 6 minutes.
- Add sugar ,salt in gravy.
- Add fried capsicum and paneer in pan and saute for 2 minutes or till paneer and capsicum gets coated with gravy.
- Chili paneer is ready ,garnish with grated or finely chopped cabbage and serve.
