Methi onion fritters / pakora
How to make Onion, fenugreek fritters
Onion pakora /bhajiya might
be most favorite snacks/street snacks across almost all parts of india. This
easy to make fritters are most sought after tea time snacks and loved by all. Many people celebrate rains by eating pakore/ fritters with hot ginger tree. I’m big fan of pakora
and I make different variation of it by using variety of vegetables ,
paneer/cottage cheese. Today I’m posting onion pakore with fenugreek leaves in
it.I use some tips for making onion
pakore crunchy as I like crunchy pakoras. My mom uses this tips and so I
started following it which makes real difference. Here we go for methi and
onions pakore simple recipe.
Cooking time : 30 min
Ingredients:

Chickpeas flour/ besan 2 cups
·
Onions 2-3
·
Fenugreek leaves chopped small bunch
·
Green Chili 5-6 (optinal)
·
Cumin powder 1/2 tea spoon
·
Carom seeds (Ajwain) 1/2 tea spoon
·
Turmeric powder 1 pinch
·
Garlic 4-5 cloves
·
Salt as per taste
·
Oil for deep frying
·
Ice cool water
Directions to cook:
1.
Chop onions in thin slices and sprinkle ¼ tea spoon
of salt on it and keep it aside.
2.
Clean and chop fenugreek leaves and keep it aside.
3.
Mix Chickpeas flour and other dry ingredients in
mixing bowl.
4.
Add chopped onions in above dry ingredients and mix well.
5.
Add ice cool water slowly in the mixture and mix
it. Adding Cold water in pakora batter makes fritters cricpy and crunchy.
6.
Heat 2 tb spoon oil in pan and pour it in above batter.
7.
Heat oil in kadhai
and fry any shape of pakoras in it on low flame.
8.
Fry from other side as well , drain oil and transfer fritters to dry container.
9.
Serve Methi onion
pakore with ketchup and ginger tea.
