Wheat porridge

After starting solids to baby wheat porridge can be included in baby's diet. Babies too get bored by eating same food again and again. For maintaining variety in diet “What to cook new ? ”is big question .And also as young babies can't chew food porridge recipes are good idea for them. This wheat  porridge is  healthy  and  yummy  recipe  for  little  ones  definitely.For making wheat porridge roasted  wheat flour  is  used.Store  roasted  wheat  flour  in air tight container and can be used for many weeks.

Cooking time :10 min
Ingredients :
  • Wheat atta 4 Cups,
  • Ghee 1/2 cup,
  • Milk 1 cup,
  • Sugar 1 tea Spoon,
  • Water,
  • Cardamom powder to sprinkle,
  • Cashew 1 tb Spoon,
  • Almond 1 tb Spoon.
Directions to Cook:
  1. Heat Kadhai and add half cup of ghee in it.
  2. Add Wheat flour in ghee and roast it continuously stirring until nice nutty aroma comes from wheat flour. Also color of flour starts changing. It takes around 20 minutes for roasting 4 cups flour.
  3. Store this roasted wheat flour in air tight container. It can be used for weeks.
  4. For making porridge :
  5. Add 2 tea spoon of roasted wheat flour in 1 cup of milk and some water.
  6. Add 1 tea spoon of sugar in it and cook it while stirring for 5 to 6 minutes.
  7. Add cashew nut powder in it and switch off gas .
  8. Sprinkle a pinch of cardamom powder on porridge.Wheat porridge is ready to serve.
