How to make Paneer masala -panner gravy
Paneer masala is spicy dish made by cooking marinated paneer in tomato ,coconut and onion gravy with selected spices. It can ebe served well with roti ,naan or plain rice.
Paneer (cottage cheese) is such a magic ingredient that any dish made using it is extra delicious. Prefer fresh paneer for making this paneer masala curry as its softer than frozen paneer.Adding grated coconut in curry makes this paneer masala more tasty. Adding spices in this gravy makes it more aromatic ,use freshly ground spices for making paneer masala curry.
Grated coconut gives different taste to this curry and increases nutritional value of it as well.

Cooking
Time :60 min
Ingredients:
Paneer
cubes(Cottage cheese) 2 cups,
Tomato
chopped 3 big size
Onions
chopped 2
Green
chili chopped 4
Coriander
leaves chopped
Curry
leaves
Ginger
small piece small bunch
Garlic
cloves 3
Curd
1 cup
Cashews
2 tb spoon
Oil
2 tb Spoon,
Salt
as per taste
Turmeric
powder 1/4 tea spoon
Coconut
grated 1 tb spoon
Chili
1/2 tea spoon
Coriander
powder 1/4 tea spoon
Water 2 cup
Cumin seeds powder 1 tea spoon
Directions
to Cook :
1.Marinate
paneer (Cottage cheese)
Mix
curd,chili powder,cumin powder ,coriander powder in bowl.Coat paneer
with this curd mixture for marinating. Keep it aside for at least 1
hour.
2.Shallow
fry /deep fry marinated paneer cubes with some oil in a pan.
3.For
making gravy of paneer masala:
Chop
onions ,tomatoes ,chili,garlic, ginger in small pieces.
4.Grind
onions,cashew nuts, chili ,garlic, ginger in grinder with some water
.Keep it aside.
5.Grind
tomatoes ,coriander leaves with water to get fine puree.Keep it
aside.
6.Heat
kadhai and add oil in it. Add cumin seeds , mustard and asafoetida in
oil after it gets enough hot to crackle seeds.
7.Add
grated coconut , curry leaves in oil and saute for a minute.
8.Add
onion puree in it. Saute for 2 minutes.
9.Pour
tomato puree in kadhai and saute for 3 to 4 minutes.Keep on stirring
veggie puree until oil separates from it.
10.Add
cumin powder,turmeric,salt,coriander powder in kadhai and saute for a
minute.
11.Add
marinated and fried paneer cubes in kadhai and saute it.
12.Mix
well all together and cook for 10 to 12 minutes .
13.Garnish
with fresh coriander leaves and serve paneer masala with roti or
paratha or naan or rice.
