How to make besan chila
Besan chila is traditional breakfast recipe.Its  quick pan cake made using chickpeas and rice flour.Vegetables like Onion ,tomatoes,chilies can be added in it for increasing nutrition value.It can be served with choice of chutney or just sauce.It  makes perfect meal accompanied with any vegetable curry as well.
I have added grated cabbage to make besan cabbage chilla to make this more healthy. You can add any choice of vegetables grated or chopped in besan chila.Enjoy making this yummy breakfast chickpeas pan cakes.

Cooking time: 45 min
Ingredients:
  • Chickpeas flour 2 cups
  • Rice flour 1 tb spoon
  • Curd 1 cup
  • Cabbage grated 1/2 cup
  • Tomato chopped 1
  • Onion chopped 1
  • Green chili finely chopped 2
  • Water 1 cup
  • Coriander leaves small bunch
  • Salt as per taste
  • Oil
  • Cumin powder 1 tea spoon
Directions to cook:
1. Add Besan in curd and mix well .Keep it aside for 1/2 hour.
2. Take a bowl and mix rice flour , besan and curd mixture.
3. Add finely chopped tomatoes, onions ,coriander leaves,cabbage  and chilies in above mixture and mix well.
4 .Add cumin powder and salt as per taste and water to get enough consistency for making chila It should be more thick than batter of dosa.
5 . Heat tawa (Non stick pan )apply oil on it to grease .
6 .Pour 1 bowl of batter on pan and move in circular direction to make pan besan chila.
7 . Roast chila on both sides apply oil if needed on other side.
8 . Serve hot besan  cabbage chila with any chutney of choice.
